First off, if you have already had to or might have to cancel your event due to the pandemic, our hearts go out to you. We know how hard it must be to spend months and even years planning the perfect event only to have to cancel it for something you could have never expected. We are all in new territory here. Whether you are a bride, a venue, a vendor, or a small business; times are tough right now for everyone. It's hard to know what things will look like in a few days, a few weeks, or even a few months. That being said, this post is not meant to be a downer. Instead we wanted to share some things you can be working on while you are staying at home.
All vendors have their own policies in place, so it's important to reach out to everyone regarding the status of your event and what to expect from them. If you are able to, please reschedule or postpone your event; don't just cancel. I have been reading articles and doing a little research on what to do or how to postpone your event. A few articles I found helpful are:
At A-1, we are doing our best to be as flexible and helpful as possible and I know there are many local vendors who are doing the same.
Did you know that Annabelle Events is now offering a stay-at-home wedding service? It's the perfect solution to still get married and celebrate during this pandemic. They are also still offering their other planning services for future events. Want to know more about Annabelle Events? Check out our post!
Another local vendor offering at-home wedding packages is Blue Diamond Events. Choose from their different packages, and then let them do the rest! And you still get to celebrate with your loved ones through a Zoom ceremony!
It's so important to support your local vendors and other businesses. So like them on social media and reach out. Restaurants are still providing to-go meals and florists are delivering flowers. We may not be able to provide you with any rentals but we can help with your upcoming events.
All of our inventory can be found on our website including pictures and pricing. There's even a feature to submit a quote with all of the items you are interested in. It's super simple to do. Just add items to your cart and then fill our the customer information in the check-out and then click submit! Our staff will then receive your request, and build a quote for you. Quotes don't reserve anything for you but they will give you with an accurate total price including any additional fees and taxes. If you have questions, shoot us a email or give us a call.
Some of our favorite sources to use when planning an event are:

- Linenswatches.com: To see all of our linen options
- Pinterest.com: For inspiration
- Theknot.com: For everything wedding (websites, registries, vendor recs and more)
There are so many resources available and vendors out there waiting to help you so please take this time and use them! We know postponing your event is hard but it's also important to follow the CDC guidelines and keep everyone safe. Here's to hoping we can start having events again soon!
