FANTASY FOOTBALL DRAFT PARTY

You would never guess by our social media posts or by what we do here at A-1 that we are a male-dominated crew. We have 2 full-time ladies and 5 full-time gentlemen. (Our fluctuating part-time staff is also all male) The guys here are troopers. They put up with the frills, fancies, and details of the wedding and event world. Not only do they put up with it, they are great at it!

We are a tight-knit, family-like group of people and that's one of the many great things about A-1. Our work environment creates lots of opportunities to work as a team and bond. We occasionally bond over extracurricular activities too. The guys at A-1 are big football fans (like the amount of Chiefs memorabilia in the office is ridiculous) and are always down for a little friendly competition and trash talk. So every year, they compete in their own fantasy football league. And once football season is here, all the chatter is about their fantasy teams, and who is currently in the lead. They are really passionate about it... they even have a ring for the winner. It’s a little silly, but it is a great way for them to bond.

When the guys see the girls staging mini styled shoots, they are always looking for ways to get involved which sparked the inspiration for a styled fantasy draft. They used their passion (and the girls' styling skills) to create a draft table for their favorite teams, the KC Chiefs and the Dallas Cowboys. We think it turned out great and it was really fun!

The guys hosted their actual draft this past weekend at the shop and we heard it was a blast! It may not have been as over-the-top as our mock draft but with good food and company, it was bound to be a fun time.
