It’s 2018, and if you have not hopped on the Gaines Train (see what we did there?) by now, we will be shocked. At the store, Fixer Upper is a favorite. We are all visual and creative spirits, and we take any and every opportunity to channel our inner Chip and Joanna into our work. For this shoot, we were inspired by the rustic and chic modern farmhouse theme we see on the show. We love event dinners served family style, and wanted to create an tablescape that can be used for family dinners, receptions, and gatherings.
The table used in this shoot was our 8-foot farm table. We love that the table by itself is gorgeous, and adding just a touch of decorations makes it a standout focal point at any event. We topped this table with the tobacco stripe runner printed on panama fabric, paired with the celery panama napkins. We love the earth tones of these two pieces. The texture of the panama is incredible, and we love to custom print our favorite patterns on it. Our dishes are the regina bowl, dinner plate and bread and butter plate. The ceramic white dishes are both sturdy and elegant and we love the detailed edges of the plate. To finish each setting, we used the 10oz jupiter glasses, the capri gold flatware, and fresh rolls from Panera Bread!
We wanted to decorate this table with items we knew most people would have already in their homes. The cylinder vases paired with the green glass candles look adorable along the runner. The wooden serving platter is a piece from the Magnolia Home collection at Target and we decided to fill it with fresh radishes, artichokes and kale for a unique centerpiece. The card holders are a find from Michaels, and we think they are adorable! The menu is an original created by Brett, whose creativity and artistic ability continue to amaze us. Our Elio gunmetal chairs tie the theme together and completes our Fixer Upper table! We had a blast planning this table, and we hope you’ll tag us in pictures of yours!
