Orange is not a color we choose very often to feature on a table. And if we do, it's a variation of orange like terra cotta, copper or peach. Even our customers tend to shy away from using orange for their events. Don't get us wrong, there are occasions where orange is the perfect color to use but it's not ever our first choice. The traditional jack o'lantern orange has the tendency to feel overbearing, inexpensive, obnoxious and a little bit like a construction site. So we were surprised when we found and liked this orange, spice velvet tablecloth.

Last fall we ordered in this linen for our showroom. Maybe it was the name "spice" that fooled us but this linen is orange. But like perfect pumpkin pie kind of orange... mostly pumpkin with a touch of spice. We wanted to reuse this linen and show that it isn't strictly just for fall. This rich orange can be used year-round with the right accents.

Featured on this table are 2 of the newest items in our inventory: the black geometric charger and hammered silverware. Both have a classic but modern feel and pair well with all of our dish and flatware options. The geometric chargers are made of a thin, matte black metal and look great on their own or with a plate on top. We loved the contrast in shine of the platinum dinner plates and flatware compared to these chargers. It added just another layer of texture and interest to this tablescape.

To make this spice velvet linen work for spring and summer, we added pink to the color palette; using vibrant fuchsia peonies for centerpieces and light pink matte satin napkins under each setting. The bright orange centers of the peonies complimented the tablecloth perfectly. The floral menus and pops of pink helped bring this table to life, while all of the glass and white helped brighten the overall look.
